Kailis Marine

Health & Safety, Environment and Quality

Kailis Marine has a genuine concern for the health, safety and wellbeing of all our employees, contractors and visitors.  We also care for the environment and are committed to the efficient use of resources, reducing and preventing pollution and product stewardship.

We work in an environment in which companies have to balance quality, environment, risk and safety. Having obtained ISO
9001:2008 (Quality Management System) it recognises that Kailis Marine is achieving this balance whilst at the same time delivering exceptional service to both our customers and our employees. By April 2012, we will also be accredited in ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System) & AS/NZS 4801:2001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).

Our Commitment

We will:
Conduct our business in a way that maintains a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors and visitors and minimise our impact on the surrounding environment.
Use all resources efficiently, in particular energy, water and land resources.
Work to minimise environmental risks associated with all our operational activities.
Develop and implement sustainable solutions that recognise the principles of ecologically sustainable development.
Provide appropriate resources and direct them towards the management of our health, safety and environmental performance.

Our Goal

We will set high standards to continue to improve our performance as we strive for zero harm to people, efficient use of resources and product stewardship, and minimise our impact on the environment.

Our Responsibility

We believe that all injuries can be prevented and the responsibility to ensure that injuries are avoided starts with each one of us. Each employee has personal responsibility to comply with this policy. Where required, our management will communicate the requirements of this Policy and our health, safety and environmental performance to employees, contractors, visitors, customers, suppliers and all other stakeholders.
